


Book Talk with Kateryna Zarembo: The Rise of Ukraine’s Sun

Kateryna Zarembo published a book about Ukrainian Donbas, “The Rise of Ukraine’s Sun. Stories of Donetsk region and Luhansk region at the beginning of the 21st century”
In December 2022, Kateryna Zarembo’s new research book about the Ukrainian Donbas was published for the first time in collaboration with the “Choven” publishing house and with the assistance of the Kharkiv office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine.

Civic Activism Against Geopolitics: Case of Ukraine
Kateryna Zarembo presented a new chapter on Ukrainian civil society for Carnegie Europe with Richard Youngs as an editor. The work was presented on December 5th, International Volunteers Day, which Kateryna Zarembo claims to be a symbolic date for an article release.

On November 19th, 2022 Kateryna Zarembo participated in the “War and the Future of Ukraine” conference at the University of Oxford
St. Antony’s College of the University of Oxford presented a two-day conference on the war and the future of Ukraine as a platform of discussion for between Ukrainian scholars. The conference took place on November 18-19th both in person and virtually.

On October 13-15th, Kateryna Zarembo attended Danyliw Research Seminar on Contemporary Ukraine
Kateryna Zarembo joined two panels on international relations and identities as a discussion participant and presenter of the new book.

In August 2022, Kateryna Zarembo gave interview to the Minor Academy of Science of Ukraine
“10 stories of women who break the profession’s stereotypes” – project of the Minor Academy of Science of Ukraine presenting 10 interviews of successful Ukrainian women in their fields.

On September 5-7th, Kateryna Zarembo joined UACES panel “The EU and Ukraine”
Kateryna Zarembo participated in the 52nd Annual Conference, organized by the University Association for Contemporary European Studies, which took place in Lille (France).

On August 22nd, Kateryna Zarembo organized online writing training “How to write to catch attention”
Online training was a part of Kateryna’s volunteering activity as a fundraiser for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In July 2022, Kateryna Zarembo joined Italian Radio Radicale’s broadcast dedicated to Ukraine
Italian radio station Radio Radicale launched a new morning broadcast dedicated to Ukrainian news and its discussion with public figures in the Ukrainian-Italian sphere.
